Life Begins at the interception

I'm Rhonda. I'm a messy mix of modern-thinking, old-fashioned values, vintage inspiration, music, dreams, and realism. My goal in life is to make a lasting difference in as many lives as I can.

Alterna-Disney Movie Posters by Rowan Stocks-Moore

Rowan is a technical wizard when it comes to redesigning classic covers to books and films, cutting deep to the core of the film in one simplified image. But his revamped images reflect the darkness inherent in the stories that was glossed over with bright colors and happy little people.

“What did you say to your sister when you volunteered at the reaping?”
“I told her that I’d try to win for her.”
“And try you will.”

I am so glad that they actually did a good job taking The Hunger Games from book to film. I always get nervous about when my favorite books get taken over by Hollywood, but I was impressed. Its got to be difficult taking a novel written completely in first-person, and making it into a movie without it being really confusing without the inner dialogue.

A few things I wish they hadn’t changed:

-Katniss singing the whole lullaby to Rue. Its such a lovely poem and I would have loved to hear it put to music.

-The bread being given to Katniss from District 11

-Cato’s death scene

-The muttations being the other tributes

Other than that I really liked it. Even Verve said he liked it. He likened it to Battle Royale, but better.
